Privacy policy

NovaGen (“we”) respects the privacy of zhivo users. This policy describes what data the zhivo.app site and the zhivo app process, why, and what rights you have.

In brief

The zhivo.app site

Browsing the library needs no account. Only interface settings (for example, the dismissed “Open in the app” banner) are saved locally in your browser — they never leave your device. The site has no advertising or analytics trackers.

What data the app processes

• Account data — when you sign in with Sign in with Apple: name and email (you can use “Hide My Email” — we then receive Apple's private relay address).
• Prompt text — the model descriptions you enter in the generator and messages to the learning assistant.
• Photos — only those you take or choose yourself: to generate a model or to solve a problem from a photo. Camera access is used for this and for AR; in AR the camera feed never leaves your device.
• Publications and activity — profile, published models and their previews, moderation statuses, likes, favourites, lesson progress and credit balance.
• Install identifier — a random technical identifier for quotas, session binding and abuse protection. It is not used for advertising.
• Device attestation — Apple App Attest (DeviceCheck) cryptographically confirms that requests come from a genuine iPhone. This check does not reveal your identity.
• Technical request data — IP address and pseudonymised abuse records may be processed for rate limiting and temporary blocks.

How data is used

Prompt text and selected photos are sent over HTTPS to our servers and on to OpenRouter, Inc. (USA) and the AI-model provider selected through it, for generation, assistant replies, building a problem solution or automated moderation. We request zero-retention routing and forbid the use of data for training wherever the provider supports these settings. The data is not used for advertising or marketing profiling.

Storage

• Local history is kept on your device and is deleted manually or with the app.
• Published models, profile and social actions are stored on the server until you delete them or your account; rejected publications are visible only to their author and moderators.
• Photos are not retained on the servers after generation or solving completes.
• A server-side scene cache stores anonymised generation results to speed up repeat requests.
• The session token is stored in the device's secure Keychain.

Moderation and age

The app applies automated filters to user input and AI responses. Publications are not shown to other users until moderated; violations can be reported with the report button. For age-gated features zhivo uses Apple's “declared age range”: the app receives only an age range from the system, not a date of birth. Features that use external AI providers are intended for users aged 13+; those under 18 need permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Your rights

You can delete your account and its server-side data from the app's settings; deleting the app removes only local data. To request a copy, correction or deletion of your data, email [email protected] — we reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy we change the date at the top of the page. Material changes are reflected in the app's update notes in the App Store.
